BIO

JONATHAN SIMON

Jonathan T. Simon is from Missouri City, Texas and was drawn to filmmaking by watching his parent’s VHS tapes of “School Daze” and “When Harry Met Sally” at an early age. It took him forever to figure out what Meg Ryan actually ordered in that diner.

Later, he graduated from Clark Atlanta University where he obtained a Bachelors’ in Mass Media Arts with a concentration in Television and Film. Subsequently, he returned to Houston where he worked with other thriving artists making their mark on the local scene. Soon after, he entered the 48 Hour Film Festival, where his film “Street Meat” won the ‘Audience Award.’

From there, he continued to write and direct several short films and music videos locally until moving to Los Angeles in 2014. Since relocating, Jonathan has worked as a freelance writer and editor. His sketches have been produced and aired by BET, TBS, All Def Digital, and the LOL Network.

Jonathan currently has a coming-of-age sports drama feature in development as well as consulting for a television period action-drama.
